About the Blog

Think, Christiansburg! is about citizen engagement in government and community processes.

Most residents agree continuously improving our community and providing affordable public services to the widest number of citizens is a worthy goal.

But how is this done?  What is the criteria and how are priorities established?  How can citizens provide input?  Who is held accountable?

Ultimately, the responsibility is ours, the individual voter.

Citizens look to elected council and appointed officials to work at the best of their abilities on our behalf.  Town administrators and the employees they hire are charged with implementing what council delegates, executing these plans and policies within applicable laws in the most cost and time efficient manner possible.

If it's happening in or around Cburg and it affects costs, services or the quality of life -- expect to see it discussed here.

Think, Christiansburg! has evolved to a collaborative writing effort which taps into numerous resources and synthesizes diverse viewpoints.  Drawing from broad private and public sector experiences, our writers add technical, academic, financial, community, government, and historical perspectives to the topic at hand.
