There are plenty of options available, right in our own "backyard" with many detailed nicely here at the Depot Dazed blog site, including "Cruisin' Christiansburg" downtown today.
An oft heard remark about "What's the Harkrader Sports Complex?" (off West Main and Buffalo Moose Drive in Christiansburg) or "There's a Montgomery Museum?" (on Pepper Street between First and Franklin) can be places to discover today.
Many of these special events supplement other regular weekend activities, like the farmer's markets in Blacksburg and Radford, or the Motor Mile Speedway --where events are held every weekend throughout the summer months.
The year is half gone and we're at mid-summer already. Before you know it, we'll be back to school and thinking about heating bills and holiday shopping. Time's a'wasting and there's plenty of local entertainment right in your own hometown. And a gorgeous day, too boot!
