Blacksburg lost a town council member -- Derek Myers was elected this past May and passed away today.
Any citizen who devotes time and talent to their community is to be commended, especially when they are focused on preserving what is good and seeking to make other things better rather than pushing a private agenda.
Condolences go to the Myers family, and the Blacksburg community.
