Conversation on "Sidewalks & The Potential for Abuse"

Death by planning commission. The council's second favorite way of avoiding doing any real work. Their favorite way is to get the citizens to do their work - like running recycling or getting info on the web or changing elections. All stuff council should be doing. But they are too dumb, or too lazy or both. Except Showalter.

TC has set it up for a LOT of high density housing. What do you lose with that? all those big yards kids use to play in, all those areas for people to have fenced yards for pets, areas for people to be outside doing things in their own back yards. About the only thing left is to get out and walk in the street. So, they add some more developments, don't do anything to control traffic, make the streets more narrow so developers can get more houses on the land, and no sidewalks or trails to give people at least a safe place to walk pets or visit friends without having to be in the street or 'trespassing' on neighbor's yards. Just because they don't walk doesn't mean nobody else does. Keep stripping away the good parts of Town and there won't be anything left worth having.
