I can do webpages just fine...but I can barely spell IT. IT has nothing to do with webdesign other than to hook up an maintain a server, provide information about the type of computer equipment that needs to be purchases and how to get it all hardwired into working together. It is a lot like having an engineer running social services. Yeah, the people need roads to get to services, but the likelihood of the engineer knowing how to match the right services with the right person is highly unlikely. Sometimes, the most important thing to know is what you don't know. Relying on others who don't know to give you information for decision-making is not a good idea. In this case it is shooting the tax-payer in the foot and looking a bit foolish.

This again shows TM and TC's inapptitude with anything beyond 1980's scope. It is going to be very tough to find a competent IT person for under $50 - $60K let alone someone who is also adept at web design/maintenance. Look for another relative or a friend of a friend that is not really qualified to fill this position. Who knew we had sooooo many expertly qualified people already living here without good paying jobs already?

Good observation. Too often these are seen as same job and then the team being supported doesn't understand why they can't get immediate response to work orders.
