And, how many Christiansburg citizens were present? I spoke with quite a few after the sustainable development meeting who would have been there had they known about it (I'll make sure those people know when I do from now on).If citizens don't know, then they don't care...if citizens don't care, the town government won't either. When I was growing up, there were these phone trees to keep everyone informed. People directly interacted with other people to keep them informed of things. Now days, we are more likely to just toss stuff up on the internet for people to see. I'm beginning to wonder if 'email trees' wouldn't be more effective. The bottom line that everyone has to ask themselves is "What do you want and what are you willing to do to get it?" Great thoughts are just that great thoughts. If you want things to happen those great thought have to be added to actions, however small.
