Heading up Roanoke Street toward the Christiansburg Town Hall, drivers see total destruction to their left today.

What happened?  Did the worst fears of a few naysayers about dancing on the streets of downtown come true?

No!  On Thursday, demolition of the old Quality Tire and former Mensch & Williams Insurance buildings began as part of a land transfer deal the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors agreed to for the long anticipated new court house construction project.

Friday's "Tech-Tech Tailgate" enjoyed excellent weather, outstanding volunteers and well mannered guests of all ages, and superb music was enjoyed by thousands.  A slight delay due to power issues for the band didn't dampen spirits or reconnecting with friends and neighbors.
