Downtown Christiansburg will host another parade this Tuesday at 7 pm.  Fire Prevention Week is Oct. 6-10th and the town's own Fire Department has been hosting this annual parade of equipment for the past several years to draw attention to the importance of fire prevention.

This event is thrilling to the youngsters as well, yet ear plugs are suggested because all the horns and sirens are blown at full volume.

The parade gives our community an opportunity to show support and appreciation of the CFD while reminding citizens to check their smoke detectors, furnaces and flues before the heating season begins.

And if you are still downtown afterwards, stroll on down to Town Hall and pop into the council meeting which begins at 7:30 pm.
