At tonight's Christiansburg Town Council meeting, a couple of seats were empty. Both the Mayor and Jim Vanhoosier were absent.
Vice Mayor Brad Stipes took the gavel and informed the audience the Mayor was home, doing well and resting in good spirits. This sort of presumed listeners knew Dick Ballengee had undergone a scheduled surgery, and there were some questioning murmurs of concern in the audience.
