Montgomery County voters should be planning a quick visit to local polling booths June 9th. While November's GOP ticket was decided by convention, the Democratic Party's nominees for Governor and Lieutenant Governor are wide open -- a first time opportunity in a generation (since 1977).
Who will face uber-conservative Bob McDonnell?
Who will challenge Bill Bolling's second term as Lt. Governor?
Even if you think it's odd a Virginia Governor is still restricted to one-term but the Lt. Governor is not, even if you consider yourself more of a Republican or Independent -- you may vote Tuesday.
If you are not sure where to vote, visit the Virginia State Board of Elections "Where Do I Vote" web page.
This web site can also tell you where campaign donations came from, past election results, provide a peek at the still evolving November 2009 ballot, or track the progress and direction being taken by the Virginia Residency Task Force.
Remember, politics and democracy aren't seasonal spectator sports -- go vote.
