At Monday's Christiansburg Town Council meeting, the proposed hours of operation and fees for expanded bus service and the new aquatic center were approved.

Both hours and fees can change in the future, based upon use.

The new bus service includes three routes -- one for the mall, one for the central business district, and one where you call ahead and "go anywhere" on.  Rates vary from fifty cents to a maximum of $5 per day after January 1 -- before that, ride for free beginning Nov. 23rd to check each of them out.

The date for when the contractors turn the aquatic center over to staff remains nebulous, yet rates and fees and hours of operations were set.  The facility's staff is raring to go, and it is hopeful that once construction is finished activities can begin immediately (although there are some questions about the cure time for the pool's interior plaster finish).
