To mark International Right to Know Day on Sept. 28, the Sunshine Week Citizen Journalism Award for September will ask essayists to discuss access to
information as a basic human right. This was an ideal put forward in the Atlanta
Declaration which was developed during The Carter Center International Conference on Access to Public Information.
