At the end of the long August 19 meeting, Councilwoman Ann Carter made a very sensible suggestion. She proposed
moving The Bulletin Board (which the Town
insists on using to comply with FOIA meeting notice requirements)
outside, by the covered entrance to Town Hall.
Photo taken a few weeks ago.A brilliant idea. If the Town must use 18th century methods to communicate with residents, at least they can place the notice board in a slightly less inconvenient location. (The notice board is currently upstairs, inside the building, which is open only from 8am - 5pm weekdays.)
Of course Town staff will now have to take a few extra steps when they choose to update the postings. Today there was still a notice for a meeting in July.
