Neighboring blogger "Depot Dazed" had an excellent post on January 10th. It doesn't matter where you come from, where you're heading, or how much is in your bank account.
The only thing that truly matters is TIME, and how you use whatever amount of this you have on this earth.
The current blog focuses on the Virginia Coalition for Open Government and the local branch of the League of Women Voters, two non-partisan organizations commited to voter/citizen empowerment and education.
Treat yourself. Read the January 10th blog, and follow the links. Then, seriously consider becoming a member of each organization and possibly donating some of your time to them as well. Life is short and can be uncertain. Take nothing for granted, including your rights as a United States citizen.
