Citizen comments on the MPO traffic study of the Cambria/Franklin intersections will be today at the Christiansburg Town Hall from 4 until 6 pm

A previous post incorrectly stated this was at the County Government Center -- if the town's website produced the notice by searching "VDOT" the error probably wouldn't have occurred.  See instead "MPO" or public meetings

Here's the link to the draft study which will be available for comment today.  This 31 page document lists price tags ranging from $371.5K to $420.5K, with preferred options starting with the most expensive of eight possible fixes identified.  The study itself cost over $31,000.  Additional options include changes to the existing traffic signal patterns.

The next MPO Policy Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 7 from 1 until 3 pm at the County Government Center.
