The T's almost missed this in the News Messenger's Community Calendar. There
was probably a notice for the upcoming Christiansburg Town Council Meeting published in the newspaper!!
We realize that Christiansburg is new to this whole "public notice"
thing, and we do appreciate the effort shown by this community calendar
posting.
But, it was nearly overlooked for two reasons. Remember "who, what, when, where, why"? First, the name of the town wasn't mentioned. (There's at least one other town around here, last we checked.)
Second, the notice indicated that the meeting date was August 2, rather than - we're guessing here - September 2.
That said, someone tried to get a notice in a local paper. Finally.
To clarify: The Christiansburg Town Council will meet on Tuesday, September 2 at 7:30pm in the Municipal Building. Our two newest Council members will be participating in their first meeting. Please show your support for them by attending this meeting. See you there.
