One week later, come downtown and enjoy the "35th Annual Wilderness Trail Festival" on September 20th.  This year's event will feature a new attraction:  Colonial Era Reenactors will be "camped" in Downtown Park on College Street (next door to the Armory) demonstrating military drills, firing of muskets and cannon, surveying techniques.  This unit will also be recruiting new volunteers for enthusiasts who want to join them in future reenactments.  Providing an excellent learning opportunity for children and adults, come get a a feel for what life was like when the Wilderness Trail was the main route to all points westward.  The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is recruiting traditional Crafters and Artisans to showcase and sell products at this year's festival and offerng special booth rates.  For more information, contact Allison Long at 552-2636 or along@montgomerycc.org.
