Come on out and enjoy the community fun! Grand Classic Cruisers and other car enthusiasts will be visiting in Downtown Christiansburg.
UPDATE 5 pm - Only an estimate, yet there appears to be over 200 cars and a good guess is that 4000-5500 folks have visited downtown. The duel reenactment was AWESOME, and a crowd favorite (especially for the little ones) seems to be operating the TEAM 401 Robot -- game of toss, anyone?
A re-enactment of the the first duel with rifles in Virginia will be staged at the town square at 2 pm, and a historic overview of duels will be held at the Christiansburg Library at 1 pm.
Street closures along West Main, from Town Square towards Burger King/ Dollar Market, will begin around noon and all cruise in cars will be parked by 3 pm. Visit local merchants or business open houses, or special guests including MCPS Robotics Team 401, the Montgomery Museum, Coffee Wear, EchoStar, Literacy Volunteers.
Music will be provided by the Due South Band. Plenty of on and off-street parking available throughout the downtown area. The event is planned to wrap up by 9 pm.
Cruise into Christiansburg, and while there was a technical "glitch" with the street banner, the weather's supposed to be perfect!
